On Philosophy and Purpose

Preface: I am by no means an expert on life. The thoughts below are merely my own after time spent reflecting and difficult conversations with friends/mentors.

On January 14, 2026 I was standing in an Empanada Shop in Pucón, Chile waiting on two of the best Empanadas to ever grace this planet. About a week prior, I was visiting a mentor when he had asked me what I believed my purpose was. I had taken a class at West Point titled “Purpose,” so I confidently told him. Needless to say, he challenged me and after much deliberation, it was clear that I needed to go back to the drawing board.
